We’re all striving.

For better work-life balance. For a deeper relationship with God. For a better understanding of ourselves and our place in the world.

My striving led me to the point of trying to find a career that used what I considered to be my disparate parts. No matter what path I chose, it felt like I was choosing to leave something behind.

In spiritual direction, I wasn’t using enough of my skill for administration. In administration, I wasn’t using enough of my ability to connect with others on a deep and personal level. Nowhere was I finding the balance I desired between being all-in on my work and all-in on my family.

The tension of choosing which part of me I wanted to sacrifice was painful, until I realized that single-role, cookie cutter career path was never going to fulfill me or utilize all the gifts I had to offer. I considered wearing each hat separately, but part of my striving was to be my full, authentic self in a cohesive way. And so Striving was born. A place for those on the way, whether you’re striving to grow your business or to deepen your relationship with the divine.
